We’ve recently launched a Nexmo competition to win a Kindle Fire for the first one to write a Node.js library for the Nexmo API. And we received 6 in less than 48h!
To win the Kindle the rules were fast & robust implementation. But all the libraries were very good, so it was challenging to select the winner. Instead we shortlisted two that were the fasted and the most robust and we decided to give away two Kindles!
A Kindle Fire for Prabhu Velayutham, who was the fasted of all. And a normal Kindle for Aaron Blakely, who came second. We will also be giving $50 free credits for all the other contributors.
Thanks you all for your contribution. We will be launching soon more competition for other languages. So stay tuned!
Here is the list of all the cool libraries we’ve seen:

Hey folks,
Join the league of developers who are building the “most awesome SMS API in the world” and develop a Nexmo Node.js lib.
The minimun required from the lib is to be able to send SMS but feel free to add any of the other cool developers API such as get balance, search numbers, etc..
To win the Kindle Fire, you just need 1) to be the first and 2) have a robust Node.js implementation of the API and get it approved by our architect team.
See previous interviews with developers who helped for PHP and Python.
Enjoy hacking!
Nexmo is one of the sponsors this year for Binpress Mobile Contest 2011. Binpress is a discovery service and marketplace for source-code.
Build something cool with the Nexmo Wholesale SMS API, pick your best feature, module or UI component that can be packaged and re-used and publish it on Binpress for a chance to win cash rewards. You also get cool feedback from the contest sponsors.
Contest will run through Oct 26 - Nov 26.
